This incredible series of 8 races, in the 4 countries of: Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia aims to offer a great selection of races for beginners to professionals to showcase some of the most beautiful lakes in Europe!

The Alps-Adriatic region offers the most beautiful locations and best opportunities for open water swimming. Crystal clear waters, framed by breathtaking natural scenery. For this reason alone, the region is almost destined to become a new sporting highlight with the Alps-Adriatic Swim Cup! This particular stop in the Alpen Adria Swim Cup is located southwest of Völkermarkt, in the St. Kanzian district in Austria, on Lake Klopein. Lake Klopein is particularly popular with swimming enthusiasts for its pleasant temperatures and calm conditions due to low currents.

This little lake is the warmest bathing lake in Europe and is only 1.8 km long and 800m wide. As a result, the Klopeiner See will be transformed into a huge swimming pool as part of the Alps-Adriatic Swim Cup, perfect for the beginner open water swimmers or those that want to put up a very fast time! The race which will completely circumnavigated the lake for the 3.3 km distance or the 6.6k double loop! There are also a 300m, 500m and 1.9k distances too!
