Open swim water event with great future potential. Swim the Arctic Circle (Swim the Arctic Circle) is a new race in the open waters of the Torne River – across the Arctic Circle between the villages Juoksengi in Sweden and Juoksenki in Finland. Classes for all ages and genders. Elite swimmers and exercise – all are welcome. Wetsuit is recommended.

On July 14th – when both the Torne River Valley summer is the most beautiful and the traditional Polcirkelmarket is open in Juoksengi. Furthermore is July 14 is the French National Day with historical links to the Torne Valley, one of which was Pierre Louis Moreau de Maupertuis’ expedition (1736-1737) who traveled along the riverbank. Hopefully Swim the Arctic Circle will attract swimmers from France and the rest of the world.
