Flying Dutchman Ferry Weertman certainly showed no ill-effects from his 10km victory on Saturday to back up to complete the Brighton Beach double with a commanding Australian 5km Championship victory on Australia Day in Adelaide today.

10th Jendamark Bellbuoy challenge attracts top swimmers

The Jendamark Bellbouy Challenge will be the first stop on the international swimming circuit's Open Water World Tour (OWWT), which kicks off next weekend.

Nelson Mandela Bay, home of the Jendamark Bellbuoy Challenge for the past 10 years, will be reaffirming its presence on the international stage by hosting the first ever OWWT event in the Southern Hemisphere.

Jendamark Bell Buoy Challenge to kick off Open Water World Tour

Nelson Mandela Bay has confirmed its status as the watersport capital of South Africa with the announcement that the Jendamark Bell Buoy Challenge has been included as the first stop on the Open Water World Tour next year.

The 5km ocean swimming race, which celebrates its 10th edition in 2019, will see hundreds of local and international swimmers taking to the waters off Port Elizabeth’s Pollok Beach on Saturday, April 13.
