SHANGHAI, China, July 16. FOLLOWING a special bureau meeting prior to the 14th World Aquatic Championships in Shanghai, FINA, the international governing body for swimming, announced that Montreal had been selected to host the 2014 FINA World Masters Championships.

"We are very excited of this news and want to congratulate the city of Montreal and members of the bid committee for successfully obtaining the hosting for the 2014 World Masters Swimming Championships," said CEO and National Coach of Swimming Canada, Pierre Lafontaine, from Singapore where the FINA World Championships team is currently staging.
